At the Mouratoglou Academy, our philosophy has always been to adapt to each player, whatever their level of play, from beginner to professional. What sets our teaching team apart is the passion that drives them and the motivation with which they have put themselves at the service of each player for over 25 years.

Training base for the pros

Thanks to its strategic location, Patrick Mouratoglou‘s Academy is considered the ideal training ground for some of the world’s best professional players. Holger Rune, Coco Gauff and Daniil Medvedev regularly train there between tournaments, and often share their experiences with the academicians during Q&A sessions or autograph sessions.

Over 25 years of heritage

  • 1996

    The Mouratoglou Academy was born in Paris. Driven by a desire to help others, Patrick Mouratoglou began to lay the foundations of his legacy. His passion and obsession for tennis fuelled an emblematic coaching career that would leave an indelible mark.

  • 2006

    Patrick began to make a name for himself as a coach. His first protégé, Marcos Baghdatis, reached the final of the Australian Open, losing to Roger Federer in four sets.

  • 2007-2011

    Patrick has worked successfully with Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Aravane Rezaï, Yanina Wickmayer and Laura Robson, helping them to progress in the WTA rankings.

  • 2012

    Patrick began working with Grigor Dimitrov, propelling him into the ATP top 50 in less than five months.

  • 2012

    Patrick's career took a new turn when he began coaching Serena Williams, champion of 13 Grand Slam titles. With his expertise, Serena added another 10 major titles, 2 Olympic gold medals and spent 196 weeks as world No. 1, solidifying her status as the greatest player of all time.

  • 2014

    Patrick launched the Champ'seed Foundation, which helps young tennis talents who lack the financial resources to reach the highest level. Past beneficiaries include Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune, Coco Gauff, Alexei Popyrin and many others.

  • 2016

    The Mouratoglou Academy officially relocated to Sophia-Antipolis, in the heart of the Côte d'Azur. Over the years, it has become the most advanced tennis centre in the world.
