Junior tennis camp (competition) during the holidays

Biot, Côte d'Azur, France

The Mouratoglou Academy, which specialises in preparing young women and men tennis players for competition, organises special courses for them outside school hours. These special times of the year give your children the opportunity to attend a competition-specific tennis camp during the holidays (for juniors).

The courses, inspired by Patrick Mouratoglou’s unique methodology, combine technical and tactical training with mental preparation to maximise each player’s potential.

Their schooling does not suffer as a result, and this is a major factor in your children’s progress. Our sports complex offers its trainees exceptional facilities (33 courts, including clay courts, training rooms and a swimming pool) and implements Patrick Mouratoglou’s famous method in a particularly favourable environment for practising tennis all year round!

The junior circuit is now a very high level of competition. It is the antechamber to the professional circuit, where young players practice their sport in a context of particularly heightened competition.

Many professional players, such as Stefanos Tsitsipas, who have attended our junior courses are now competing at the top level on the international circuit.

Our players receive individual attention and are prepared for competition with the highest standards of excellence, using our unique method. They receive individual follow-up. They receive 360° support. Our courses have proved their worth on the international circuit. The results of the young people we have coached are the proof!

In addition to its exceptional facilities and varied terrain, the sports complex also includes top-of-the-range accommodation and services, perfect for families wishing to accompany their young champions.

When is the best time to book a tennis course?

Our academy has the advantage of being able to welcome players throughout the year. Holiday periods may vary from country to country. In France, the holiday periods are as follows:

  • Winter holidays (February - March)

An excellent opportunity to escape the winter routine and play tennis in a pleasant climate.

  • Spring holidays (April)

Perfect for making the most of the return of good weather and getting ready for the summer season.

  • Summer holidays (June - August)

The most popular period for courses, with longer days and intensive programmes to suit all levels.

  • All Saints' Day (October)

An ideal opportunity to perfect your skills after the summer break and before the winter.

  • Christmas holidays (December)

An original way to end the year playing tennis in a unique setting.

Once your child is playing competitively, you can offer them a sports camp at any time, for example in preparation for a major tournament. They can also take advantage of our camps to make progress and work on their tennis skills at any time during the season. Accommodation is included in the package, so that your son or daughter is totally dedicated to playing tennis during their stay. Don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss the best dates to suit your son’s or daughter’s needs.

Our junior tennis courses for competition during the holidays provide a longer period of in-depth work to improve young players’ sporting performance. Free from all school constraints, they are fully available and get the maximum benefit from our teaching.

It’s also easier to provide them with 360° support, as they are fully immersed in our environment dedicated to official matches. Our academy will advise you on the content best suited to the competition and organised during school-free periods that you would like to offer your children.

Frequently asked questions about competition courses

  • To take part in a tournament, certain general conditions must be met, particularly for matches organised by the Mouratoglou Academy:

    1. Minimum age: Some tournaments have specific age categories. At the Mouratoglou Academy, the tournaments included in the courses are often open from the age of 10 for children, and adapted for adults.
    2. Level of play: Generally open to all levels (beginners, intermediate or advanced). At Mouratoglou, the UTR tournaments allow players to be ranked according to their level to ensure balanced matches.
    3. Licence or ranking: Some tournaments, particularly those with a UTR ranking, require a tennis licence or registration on a ranking system (such as the UTR), but this can be arranged by the Mouratoglou Academy as part of the course.
  • During competition courses at the Mouratoglou Academy, participants have the opportunity to take part in tournaments adapted to their level and progress. Here are the main sessions

    1. UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) matches:
      1. The UTR system ranks players according to their actual level, guaranteeing balanced matches. These tournaments are open to all course participants, regardless of their initial ranking.
      2. During the course, players generally play at least 3 matches in tournaments, in a real competitive setting.
    2. Official matches at the Mouratoglou Academy:
      1. The Academy regularly organises internal championships, enabling course participants to compete in a competitive but caring environment, with personalised coaching.
    3. Matches approved by the French Tennis Federation (FFT) :
      1. Depending on the period and the programme, some players may take part in FFT tournaments to improve their ranking and gain competitive experience in an official setting.

These official sessions are designed to assess players’ progress and enable them to put into practice the techniques and strategies they have learned in training. In this way, the organisers offer a complete immersion in the competitive world, whether it’s to get ranked in the UTR system or to gain match experience.
