The aim of fitness is toimprove and maintain physical and mental health through regular physical activity. This includes developing muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and general well-being. Fitness also aims to reduce stress, promote weight loss, strengthen the immune system and improve quality of life by making the body more resistant to illness and injury. To combine cardio and weight training effectively, you can alternate days, doing weight training on some days and cardio on others, or combine the two in the same session.
